How to Answer Any Interview Question in Ninety Seconds

Panels remember headlines, not paragraphs. Use this four-beat structure to stay sharp under scrutiny.

Panels remember headlines

An interviewer listens to dozens of answers. Only the shaped ones survive. Ninety seconds, four beats, every time.

The four beats

One: the headline answer in a single sentence. Two: the situation in two lines. Three: what you specifically did. Four: the measurable result and what you learned.

Practise the beats out loud, not on paper. Written answers sound written.

Under scrutiny

If you are interrupted, finish the current beat and stop. Control is more impressive than completeness.
